(that shirt is only 33.00! it used to be 110.00 dudes!)
i can see you all are clearly busy moving about your daily lives and whatnot but if i could have your attention for ONE SECOND please? thank you!
karmaloop is having yet another MAYJAHH sale you guys. por serio. 50-85% off. it's a little bit ridiculous, actually. RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME. i was just trolling it, y'know adding shit i can't afford to buy to my cart so i could look at it a little longer before the BILLSBILLSBILLS (can you pay my?) called me away and my bank account shut down my dreams.
(it's actually a bit depressing because the glasses i paid 16.00 for - on sale - are now 4.75 on sale. relativity, people, relativity.)
but you guys look like you have some money! head over to k-loop and shop your streetwear loving hearts out. but do it soon because this sale only lasts for another two days. so, till wednesday. i mean it guys, DO IT. and if you haven't gotten this princess of the posse top by now (um, what?!), you can get it on the mad cheap.
now you have your mission. by reading this post in its entirety, you have chosen to accept it. go forth, be free, and buy america!

wondermazingment
(img via the sartorialist)
holy hot hell on a sidewalk in the middle of july in an arizona desert somebody get me those shoes. i think the toes are carved into the shapes of hearts? sweetjesus on high, toss me the respirator because it just got TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL up in here. i am betting those shoes have a chunky heel, which is perfecto, and the fact that they have an ankle strap makes me want to put on lacy white tights, a watermelon colored minidress, and dance in the moonlight a la king harvest on a crazy margarita bender. put it together. IT ALL MAKES SENSE.
also that skirt is high-fiving god with its epic awesomosity but really guys, really, i NEED THOSE SHOES. you know how t.i. wants your body? you know how he needs your body? you know as long as you got him you won't need nobody?
well that's how i feel about those shoes. all of that. and more. someone can go ahead and box them up for me, size 10, and fed-ex them right over to my lair aka my HQ. we serve cookies here. 24/7. they taste like angels' wings fluttering on your tastebuds. it all makes sense.
thanks in advance and i love you all like the sisters that weren't super bitchy to me in middle school.

Giveaway Winner!
Yeah, I wish I had a better title than that, but I don't. You guys remember the giveaway I had going last week? Well now it's over! And we have a winner!
In case you have amnesia or are retarded, here is a rundown of the contest rules and regulations: think of a super epic band name. That's is. Yeah, it was that easy. And let me say, you guys are amazingly talented when it comes to naming bands. Record labels across the world need to be hiring you guys, stat!
That said, I had to enlist the help of superhuman wonder girl V to make this decision. (I guess it wasn't smart for an indecisive person to have a contest) And the winner is........
.........
..............
................
Noriah! With the awesome sauce name: She Bangs!
That means Noriah wins the Chester French single, and uh, whatever else I have lying around here. I didn't really put a gift bag together. My b.
Noriah, your fabulosity goes in the mail on Friday! Congrats! And thanks to everyone who entered! It was really sweet that you guys like me that much...oh wait, no, you just like free shit. Those are my favorite kind of girls!
And since I have some kind of uncanny ability to befriend people who work in the music industry, hopefully more giveaways will be possible in the future. Ole!

Where In The World Is Valentina San Diego?
Has anyone heard from V? I haven't? Last night she emailed me and a text msg later...nothing. V, where are you? Did those Pomona kids trap you in their room and make you listen to Vampire Weekend while tying knit sweaters around your shoulders and offering you cocaine? We have to celebrate my new job tonight! We're supposed to go to the strip club!
Where are you girl?
Don't be surprised if V's face pops up on the side of a milk carton soon.

Erika

Don't Leave A Key Underneath The Mat For Me
Tonight is my going away party! That song, "Goodbye" by the Postmarks will be playing in my head. I didn't organize it, some of my friends did. I'm excited because someone else is driving me home. It's all a part of my friends' master plan to get me as drunk as possible so they can use me as a source of entertainment while they remain completely sober. My goal is to wake up in the same place I fell asleep. If not, I'm aiming for a three mile radius.
Everyone seems sad enough, since I'm leaving this hell hole called Atlanta for the Valley on Tuesday. It's a four day drive I'm not looking forward to.
I hope tonight goes well! The party is at El Mexicano, which has the best Mexican food in the city...well aside from going to a Mexican person's house and having them make you dinner. The last time I saw a going away party, a giant monster destroyed half the city, someone dropped the video camera, and a skinny white girl got impaled.
Oh wait, that was Cloverfield. Sry.

Cole Mohr X Marc Jacobs
At first when I saw these ads I was still reeling from the MIA versions. I thought, "boy in a dress...this will pass." But there are more. And they look promising. The boy is Cole Mohr. The designer is Marc Jacobs. The photographer has always been Juergen Teller. These are dresses.
Scarily enough, I would consider buying them more after seeing them on a dude. In the famous words of Missbehave:
Discuss.
Valentina loves Cole Mohr. I like masculine Cole Mohr. I guess this works out because if they get together, they can borrow each other's clothes.

My Significant Other Right Now Is Myself
Okay. I'm sort of an earring fiend. If I had the money to cop a pair of Cubannie Links, I would do it in a heartbeat. I love earrings, and have been on the ongoing and seemingly neverending search for a pair of serious doorknockers. Maybe this is easy in New York, where Canal St. and Chinatown proffer up anything from t-shirts to televisions to knockoff bags and the tiny puppies that go in them, but in Atlanta seriously dope jewelry on a broke ass (but still fly) chick's budget is pretty hard to come by.
So I've been stalking all the Forever 21's I can find (I'm up to four so far) for badass earrings. You know, F21 makes really good ones. They're light and cute and cheap so you don't feel incredibly awful for losing the backs to them or leaving them at someone's place, or anything like that. My recent obsession has been a pair of F21 earrings that are like, the cutest things ever:Adorable! And only 4.80! They're the ish! I'm wearing them here.
So when I went to TN this past weekend, we stumbled on a store called For Love 21, which is apparently some kind of F21 jumpoff store, the likes of which we have none in Atlanta. And it was there that I finished collecting all of the above earring styles. I now have them in pink, black, yellow, and white.
I believe that is what we like to call doing the damn thing. Now I'm on to my new obsesh. The clerk at For Love was wearing them when she checked me out. I haven't found them yet, but I will. I will:They're zebra print and only 3.80. Animal prints make me tingle. Earrings make me tingle. Sometimes I tingle for no reason.
Anyone else harboring mad jewelry or clothing obsessions that make them rethink to what exactly they put their paycheck each month? Because, while sometimes it's nice to chat about politics, current events, the economy, and the modern woman's role in society, I like to talk about stuff.
Deuces,
Erika
