Duh, it only makes sense that everyone's favorite Staten Islander would somehow find a way to infiltrate all points of street fashion and awesome them up! First she made bags...then pins...she even sent me some stickers...now homegirl makes shirts! Since I know most of you girls are East Coast for life, you kinda have to go buy one of these badass tees. Wear it to school, or work, or to the bodega, or while you're sitting in your fire escape (I want to live in a building with a fire escape so bahyuddd!), wherever. Just wear it! It's cheaper than other streetwear and by buying one you're supporting an independent business and that's important. Plus we ladies gotta help us ladies.
Lord knows the boys won't. Find your favorite tee at The Bubblegum Pony*s Shop. Get it girls!

Of Montreal Listening Party Tonight!
Erm, I don't even know if anyone besides me listens to Of Montreal, but I'm mostly just posting this for myself, because I would love to go if I lived in the East Village...or, um, New York City at all. Come out and join other drunken New Yawkers and listen to the pre-release of Of Montreal's new Skeletal Lamping LP before anyone else does! And then talk to the super guys from Polyvinyl! They seem nice.
And then after all that, turn your eyes to the horizon and watch Grizzly Bear on Letterman tonight!
Fun, fun, fun till daddy takes the T-Bird away!

Best. Saturday. Ever?
Alrighty Aphrodite, I'm getting ready to leave for the sweet ass Diplo/Noot/Dark Meat set I waxed poetic about yesterday. I cannot wait. Swearz, if you see me, please say ohai! I'm hoping Oh Snap! or Midnight Socialite will be there. Actually, I'm praying.
In other news, Missbehave is breaking it down on the East coast at Union Pool. The New Yawkers sure know how to make beer affordable. Little Jackie is also kicking it at Fort Greene Park. You should go if you know what's up.
Hopefully pics of the former two events will follow tomorrow. I also decided I'm going to cover more of the NY/LA/ATL party and concert scene, for the good of all of our social calendars!
And don't sleep on the new Batman joint. Tickets should be bought in advance!
Punch punch bitches!

Erika

Party At Missbehave's House!
Dude, if you don't know about this hella fun ish by now, you are hopeless. Missbehave is throwing a sick pool party over at Union Pool. Where is that? Uh, somewhere in NY, obvi. How dare you ask such a stupid question! Anyway, there will be free tacos (epic) and $2 beer, which you really can't get so cheap anywhere nowadays, unless you harass the guy who's running the bar and tell him he can plow you for PBR. I won't be there, even though Sarah Morrison asked to fly me in....but you should!
Plus there will be fun, dancing, giveaways from Nikita, a chance to stalk Sarah Morrison in real life, and maybe your chance to find some summer love!
Union Pool
484 Union Ave at Meeker
Williamsburg Brooklyn
Take the L Train to Lorimer
The Union Pool is 21+ only! Damnit!
RSVP here!
So go forth and have tons of fun, and then totz blog about it so I can remember how little fun I have in Atlanta!

Savage Sunshine
(This is actually the pic that comes up when you type in "savage sunshine." Go figure!)
Well she finally did it! My NY homegirl Valentina has finally made a blog of her own. While her stint as professional commenter was much appreesh, I'm thrilled to be able to see what she has to say about things she finds important! She's currently got one post now, about the people who want to kill her, but it's funny, not scary/threatening/sort of creepy.
I advise everyone to check it out, leave soooo many comments that V's inbox can't even handle it, and then be super nice to her if you ever see her on the streets in NY. She's got pretty hair (and doesn't even have to brush it!) and might be listening to some random/shitty/good music. Oh and her style is like "Blair Waldorf on acid" (her words, not mine), so she'll be pretty hard to miss. I assume V will be the girl in the neon sweater, the plaid miniskirt, fluorescent tights, and sensible flats.
You can read all about her crazy life and her plans for an upcoming photo series here. I'm so happy for you V! Welcome to the Peach Pit!
Deuces,
Erika

You Got A Cameltoe
Oh. Mah. Gawd. This song used to be the only song I listened to for about 28723567 days in a row. Actually, I first saw this video on TRL, y'know back when Damien, La La, and Quddus used to host it, if that gives you an idea how long ago that was.
I'm pretty sure this song put Fannypack on the map. If you didn't know, Fannypack is this girl group from BK that makes really rad club bangers. This song is off their album So Stylistic, which is way better than the follow up See You Next Tuesday. Anyway, just let this be a reminder that not everything has to be tucked in.

Wang For Cheap!
Gawd...NYC gets everything! Topshop, Miss Rap Supreme, and now...this!
If you're near Broadway, or, subsequently, Canal St, wear a pretty average size (2-10), and like high fashion clothes for department store prices, you can get your hands on some AWEsome apparel from the Alexander Wang Sample Sale! (cue triumphant trumpets and swooning ladies) Although Vera is my favorite Wang, Alexander's clothes are pretty boss as well.
The sale runs from today (from 3-7) through Saturday (from 10 in the am-7 in the pm). Supposedly, things are 70% off! Address after the jumperoni.
386 Broadway, 3rd Floor
Phone number is: (212)-532-3103, although I can't see why anyone would call for a sample sale.

Erika

Holy Shet!
Do you like 90's girl bands?! Do you like AWEsome bands that are fronted by chicks?! Do you like putting a ?! after all your sentences?! Rad!
All of this is just the preamble to the new mp3 I am about to post on this blog. That's right, I'm going to try to get more mp3s up on here so people can be introduced to new, sick, music that they might never hear. I've been told my musical taste is unparalleled.
Yes, it does count if I told myself that, thx.
Anyway, I just heard the most AWEsome song in a long time.
It's by a group called Miss Derringer, it's amazing, it's totally channeling that supreme 90s girl band feeling, I love and you will too.
Miss Derringer: "Black Tears"
More Derringer:
"Better Run Away From Me"
Miss D is touring with Blondie and will be in New York 6/15 - 6/19, then back to
LA on 7/17. Lucky bitches go peep scene!
This is about to become a music pirate's wet dream, I can feel it!
Deuces,
Erika
